Oju Iboju

Oju Iboju came about when noticing a lack of plentiful safe mask options that accommodate our unique physical as well as culturally needs. The word Oju from the Yoruba language translate to face, while Iboju has a range of meanings such as veil, screen, shelter, safety and mask. Oju Iboju are fashionable face- coverings suitable for everyone while showcasing the distinctive beauty from our continent of origin.

Mask Details

  • All masks consist of 100% Ankara wax fabric.

  • Three structured, breathable, sealed layers.

  • Colored adjustable elastic ear straps.

  • Mask durability is tested via machine washing to insure structural integrity.

  • Masks are sterilized using UVC lights then placed in resealable packaging.

  • All masks are handmade, reversible and can be worn a multitude of ways.

  • Each Oju Iboju mask is one of a kind.

Mask Maintenance

  • Hand wash or machine wash on cold delicate settings with color safe detergents. For best results wash masks in mesh/hosiery pouch to avoid damage.

  • Dry on low heat gentle settings.
